Another day in Paradise

My personal blog about my life and especially my way back to compete in an Ironman Race

still alive

...what a week, again! Finally I am back in some kind of training routine, although the week before the last one only consisted of a 9km run... the last week was 2x bike (1x 1hr, 1x1.5hrs) and 2x run of 45min plus 1x 30min all at some easy pace. Since 3 days I'm helping Steffi Steinberg in her camp - luckily as she caught a virus and couldn't lead her group today. So last 3 days 210km of easy road cycling, - today I couldn't get the whole ride in as a cat, still living was lying in front of us on the road decending from the Betancuria hill, hit by a car awfully. quick update

today just a quick update, you can probably read it between the lines ... I am still very busy. Which is good - we are overbooked which means a lot of guests, and at the moment a lot of sports groups, which is my job here at the Oasis Papagayo... so today I'll not get any workout in, and not sure if tomorrow neither... yesterday though ran 11km at easy pace and got a 3hr really relaxed mountainbike ride in! We'll have quite a bit of wind tomorrow on the Canaries, so I'm not too bothered by the fact that probably tomorrow I won't be able to get on the bike. We're currently hosting Kristin Möller, Ironman Lanzarote's Champion 2013 during a shooting for Arena and it looks like she'll be coming more frequently in the future. Train happy!

Thank you 14

b2ap3_thumbnail_pool50.jpg...what's up today: Recovered almost from the infection - no training, though still. Will support (not swimming) one of the swim teams we're hosting at the Oasis Papagayo at the moment tonight - they will swim into the New Year in our olympic pool Smile and read a good book until then as well as talk with friends and relatives. So... everyone have a great last couple of hours of 2014 and thanks for a great year with all of you !
